At Least

"At least" is a wonderful phrase. I'm going to borrow it from Fineartist who commented on my last post and use it as much as possible this month. I suspect I am going to need it.

At least he didn't...
At least she noticed.....
At least we're alive.....

It's kind of like looking for the silver linings without going all revoltingly Pollyanna.

"At least" is a phrase that combines hope and realism, practicality and warmth, and it's beautiful.

Well I've been reading Doris's blog for a bit, but at least I found my way here eventually...

Cheryl you are my danged hero/heroine. I needed that.

Here is my list for today:

At least….I still have a job, my health, my children, my grand loves, part of my sanity and good friends, both locally and across the ocean.

At least….I still have my teeth, well most of them.

At least….I still have a sense of humor, or at least I THINK I have a sense of humor.

Life is SWEEEEET.

Thanks Cheryl.

At least, I have been revoltingly Pollyanning around your neighborhood for awhile. :)

At least, you guys still know how to make each other and me smile. :)

At least, nice people still stop by to gather some sanity

At least, you guys make the fill the world with a sense of humanity, :)

A stupid poem and I know it, but at least it was meant with the heartfelt good wishes of someone what wanted to show them.

(((Jane, Jo, fineartist, me strauss)))

You guys don't know what it means to be able to hit a note with you all. It means I am not weird, for a start!

I followed this mini revelation with a day that would have seen me quit my job, or at least speak a few home truths very loudly - most unusual, but its an unusual month. I was 'at least'-ing all day, through gritted teeth.

(((Hugs to sisters who took time to let me know I am not alone in that boat)))

ME - Have you been Pollyanna-ing? It didn't show. You are not remotely sugary or annoying; I imagine Pollyanna to have had very strident opinions, a certain level of conceit for one so young, and a squeaky voice - very grating. Thats not you AT ALL. I worry that it's me, sometimes.

I love going to blogs that give me hope and humour, when it's subtle and easy to absorb. Don't stop! I need your sanity :-)

I've always loved that phrase and it's companion "at most", which does a lovely job of making even the most dire consequence seem not all that bad.

"at least" i've been awake enough to be able to read and enjoy the bits and pieces you post every day... some have me laughing, some crying, some bitter and cynical, others indifferent...

keep up the good work, i'll be back occasionally in between the nonsense i don't need and even less like... keep well my dear ;-)
