I vote for the perimenopause. You know it's on it's way but you don't know what to expect.
It looks like you and me are in the same boat (just hope it's not got SS Titanic stencilled on the side)

My mother insists it's perimenopause, but I'm still trying to make her understand that it's just part of a life-long, rare and undiagnosed seizure disorder.
