You've pushed my 'instant apoplexy' button ... I've jsut watched our bin-men 'do' our street.

They tip the bins up on their magic tippy thing so quickly that they don't have time to empty properly and the rubbish falls all over the street. The don't pick it up and the street is now covered in paper and HORRIBLENESS.

The slightly eccentic old lady over the street has come out and cleaned the patch in front of her house, by poking all the bits that were there down the hill to her neighbours.

And it's all over for another week.

I am particularly grumpy about it today as I have had to clear up someone else's dog's poo from our front step.

.... sorry to rant .... :(

~exposes ignorant American-ism~ I'm assuming bin day is trash pick up day?

I was wondering what bin day was too. But thanks to your commentors; I now know. Why do you have so much trash before Christmas?

Oh, Ally. I hear you loud and clear. Maggie, the black lab across the way, seems to have a preference for leaving her calling card on OUR lawn. We have been trying in vain to get Barkley, our Samoyed, to return the favor on Maggie's master's lawn. The darned dog is just too ethical, or anal retentive, or something.

And the sanitation engineers? Pffft. If I'm not standing RIGHT THERE when they come by with the truck, the street is littered with paper and worse.

Cheryl, I know you're busy, but post already! I miss you!

PS: "sussed" -- what means this?
