Pardon?

You're a little frustrated that you can't hear all the tones that the young 'uns can but will be more than happy if it means you don't have to listen to their damn ringtones on the bus anymore.

The highest pitched ultrasonic mosquito ringtone that I can hear is 14.9kHz
Find out which ringtones you can hear!

I'm the same - thirtysomething. I guess I haven't spent enough time at loud parties or concerts.

Well, we know I'm not human, which I suppose is a good thing...

You're a dog
Or maybe you are a mosquito, you certainly can't be human.

The highest pitched ultrasonic mosquito ringtone that I can hear is 21.1kHz

I kid you not.

Hi Ms Baggage, found you through Atyllah's blog and your lovely link to the vulva purses! Fab item, until you see the price...

I too am 21.1, which has made my day cos I have been feeling a bit deaf lately. Clearly I just don't want to listen, which is an entirely different matter.

Nice blog x

Oh God...it really is happening...not only can I no longer see properly, I can only get to 14.1...I might get up to 14.9 maybe, but i think i might be imagining it.

Oh bugger, my family is right. :-(

i am destined for a completely senses free old age...

Ok, don't laugh... I thought I was completely deaf. I kept playing the ringtones and couldn't hear anything. I was freaking out. Turns out, my speakers weren't on!

"You're in a mid life crisis
Your ears aren't what they once were and you have resorted to doing online hearing tests.

The highest pitched ultrasonic mosquito ringtone that I can hear is 12kHz"

Compared to everyone else, I'm deaf. The fact tht I didn't have my speakers on, I'm not in a mid life crisis. Hell, I'm senile.

Hello MB,

Came across your excellent blog while doing a bit of research on ley lines.
Great theory about the long man and Seaford head.
I grew up in seaford and may be moving back there in the near future.

The ultrasound test played havoc with my tinnitus!!! I only got as far as 12 kHz. and I'm only two yrs older than you.

Keep up the good work

do you ever have moments that you value silence more than the noise and confusion around you?

That was fun, I will show my daughter. I scored a teenager score of 17.

I'm in mid life crisis, too, but I knew I would be as I suffered measurable hearing loss as a child -- lots of ear infections. Bummer, but I got a better than expected result!

I am a dog-- at least according to the test :)

Kind of nice to see at 45, though not surprising, I DO have accute hearing.I think it's why I startle so easily!
