Marginally peeved

I am looking at the previous post. The longer I stare at it, the more I become convinced that the past tense of 'grit' is, in fact, 'grit.

How annoying.

Any thoughts, please?

    Without looking it up anywhere my gut feeling is to go with "gritted".

    Well here in the US, I'm sure it's "gritted", but you know we Yanks are a bit weird with our grammar :D

    And may I take this chance to say how much I enjoyed reading that last post. It is wonderful to see you (so to speak) so "up"--and blogging again under your rightful name!
